Description

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to increasing the production and dissemination of quality statistical information in Kenya, through ISTAT's support to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics. The project will provide technical support to the Kenyan organisation in particular for the modernisation of business survey processes for production of short-term statistics, and methodological support for the improvement of environmental statistics, the production of estimates for small areas and the use of alternative sources, in particular administrative sources, through the introduction of efficient and open source statistical and IT tools. In addition, the project will provide technical support for the design of an integrated data dissemination system based on the system developed for the dissemination of data from the 2019 population census and will carry out specialist training for staff on the most accredited software and programming and data analysis languages for official statistics, in particular R and Python. read more close
