Description

The 36-month project aims to strengthen Universal Health Coverage in Burkina Faso, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal disabilities in children. It targets key public and private health actors in the urban and peri-urban areas of Ouagadougou, including Centre Don Orione, CNAOB, CHU Bogodogo, and Hôpital Saint Camille, with the goal of improving service quality, accessibility, and coordination. The initiative also involves the Direction de la prévention et du contrôle des maladies non transmissibles at the Ministry of Health to enhance the capacity of primary health care staff in early diagnosis and referral of suspected cases. The project is structured around three main components: 1. Strengthening early detection and diagnostic capacity to enable timely surgical and rehabilitative interventions; 2. Improving surgical treatment and functional rehabilitation services in specialized centers; 3. Enhancing coordination among health, rehabilitation, and social services to ensure integrated care pathways. read more close
