Description
The initiative is part of the UNHCR–DGCS 2025 Strategic Programming, designed to strengthen the response to regional emergencies and to link immediate humanitarian interventions with resilience and development actions. The project aims to improve the protection and well-being of Syrian refugees in Jordan, with a particular focus on children and adolescents, through three areas of intervention: child protection services for minors and caregivers, legal assistance for documentation and representation, and economic support through cash transfers to vulnerable refugees to ensure access to essential needs such as food, shelter, medical care, and education. In this way, the initiative contributes to regional objectives of promoting access to basic services, facilitating the voluntary, safe, and dignified return of refugees, and improving the living conditions of vulnerable families, including women and persons with disabilities.
