Description

The initiative aims to support Palestine refugees through the provision of an integrated package of education, social services, protection, and livelihoods interventions. Specifically, the project is structured around four main components: 1. Rehabilitation of the Sakhnin–Al Naqab School, including the establishment of safe, inclusive, and accessible learning environments equipped with modern facilities and spaces for psychosocial support, benefitting at least 800 students; 2. Finalizing of the Yarmouk Multi-Purpose Community Centre (MCC), which will offer integrated services with a specific focus on persons with disabilities; 3. Delivery of protection services across all UNRWA operational areas in Syria, targeting approximately 15,000 individuals, through interventions including legal assistance, gender-based violence prevention and response, child protection, and awareness-raising on explosive ordnance risks; 4. Promotion of youth employment, through the strengthening of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme, aimed at equipping young Palestine refugees with market-relevant skills. This initiative is an integral part of the UNRWA 2025 Syria, Lebanon and Jordan Emergency Appeal and contributes to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) for Syria. read more close
