Description

UNIDROIT International Programme for Law and Development aims to offer a theoretical-practical training of jurists – from legislative offices of ministries and magistrates – coming from the African continent and countries on the borders of the EU, the Balkans, Eastern European Partnership, Central Asia and the Caucasus. It is aimed to increase the knowledge of the instruments of comparative private law that are already consolidated in the practice of the international community. The course, meant to take place every year, also points at establishing a virtual community among participants, with the aim of facilitating the exchange of experiences, problems and solutions. Courses include a hard component on agriculture, including contracts, finance, quality investments, supply chain sustainability and local markets resilience. The Organization follows a strict gender equality policy and plans to dedicate half of the positions to women (as in the previous edition). The contribution is consistent with SDG 4 (Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning for all), SDG 16 – particularly target 16.6 (Develop effective, accountable and transparent institutions at all levels) and 16.8 (Broaden and strengthen the participation of developing countries in the institutions of global governance) – SDG 1 (End poverty in all its forms everywhere), SDG 8 (Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all), SDG 10 (Reduce inequality within and among countries). read more close
