Description

The program represents the second phase of the project "Supporting the Italy-Tunisia Strategic Partnership on Food Security" through which CIHEAM Bari coordinated a broad technical and institutional consultation process aimed at supporting Tunisia's food security in a context of climate change. Specifically, the activities were aimed at supporting the Tunisian government in preparing the necessary documentation to access the Italian Climate Fund. These activities require expertise and additional resources which are intended to be filled with this grant in order to ensure the operational continuity of the project and meet the standards required for access to the Italian Climate Fund. The initiative aims to expand and enhance the knowledge and skills that can be put at the service of rural and coastal development in the priority countries of Italian Cooperation. In this sense, CIHEAM Bari intends to pursue two main outcomes:1.Strengthen the institutional activities of CIHEAM Bari, with a focus on enhancing the higher education of young people and the development of scientific networking activities on the sustainability of agri-food products; 2.Enhance cooperative initiatives through systematization and dissemination of acquired knowledge, elaboration of insights and recommendations, implementation and participation in events and dissemination activities. read more close
