Description

As part of the Italian Cooperation’s response to the multiple crises currently underway in Lebanon, this initiative has as its general objective the improvement of the living conditions of the most vulnerable populations living in Lebanon. Specifically, the activities will contribute to two sub-objectives: a) ensuring access to quality, equitable and inclusive education and access to protection services for school-age children; b) improve workforce employability and stimulate local economic growth and market systems to promote income-generating opportunities and decent and safe employment. In a triple nexus approach, the initiative envisages strengthening the capacities of the Lebanese national systems responsible for providing the services. The activities will align with the strategic objectives of the Lebanon Response Plan 2025 (LRP), the reference framework for humanitarian and stabilization response, and will support government strategies in the relevant sectors, in particular the 5 Year General Education Plan of the Lebanese Ministry of Education (MEHE).
