Description
The contribution to UNMAS is functional to the coordination of the humanitarian mine action response and support for the implementation of risk education activities, assessments and subsequent demining operations in Gaza and the West Bank. This includes the definition of priorities, the coordination of partners, the conduct of explosion risk assessments for sites and routes used by the United Nations and other humanitarian actors, as well as Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) for humanitarian workers and the local population. The contribution of AICS is proposed in the range of strengthening the humanitarian response in Gaza and the West Bank and the afterwards reconstruction efforts in Gaza Strip.
