Description

The project aims to improve the efficiency and sustainability of water resource use in the Odesa region of Ukraine through the modernization of the Tatarbunary and Kiliya irrigation systems. The intervention includes the reconstruction and upgrading of pumping stations, the cleaning and rehabilitation of irrigation canals, the installation of automated control systems, and the training of farmers and local technicians. Activities are designed to reduce water losses and energy consumption, increase agricultural productivity, and strengthen the climate resilience of rural communities. The initiative supports the establishment of water user organizations and promotes the adoption of innovative technologies, in line with Ukraine’s national and regional strategies for sustainable agricultural development and improved water resource management. read more close
