Description

Voluntary contribution to UNIDO that is responsible for the industrial development of countries. The objectives are to support and sustain the industrial and technological development of developing countries through partnerships and synergies. The mandate of the Organization is mainly consistent with SDG 9 (Industry, innovation and infrastructure). The goal is to support and sustain the industrial and technological development of developing countries through partnerships and synergies.The collaboration with the ITPO in Rome allows for the promotion of partnerships and synergies with our national system ("sistema Paese"), contributing to the diffusion of models characteristic of the Italian way of "doing business" (quality brands, consortia, industrial districts, and aggregations of SMEs) and enhancing our excellence in multiple sectors, from agribusiness and design to the green economy. UNIDO's mandate – that is, a world without poverty and hunger – aligns with the priorities of Italian Cooperation indicated in the 2024-2026 Three-Year Programming Document, approved by the Interministerial Committee for Development Cooperation on December 9, 2024. The activities of UNIDO-ITPO contribute to achieving, specifically, the sustainable development goal SDG 9 (Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation), and in particular to promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization (9.2), increase the access of small-scale industrial enterprises to financial services (9.3), upgrade infrastructure and retrofit industries to make them sustainable (9.4), and support domestic technology development, research and innovation in developing countries (9.b). read more close
