Description
The GIFT initiative aims to enhance technical and vocational training and entrepreneurial skills in the tourism and cultural heritage sector in North Jordan. GIFT will work on the growth of the incoming system through: capacity building in the public and private sectors, redesign of technical and cultural training, and activation of entrepreneurial and job matching pathways, helping to foster access to stable and decent employment and self-entrepreneurship in the tourism sector in Jordan. GIFT fosters young women and men's access to training, including through childcare services, improves its quality, and expands its offerings by matching the skills of more than 230 young people (80 percent women) with the needs of the market. Finally, GIFT fosters new employment and economic development of local communities through on-site support for micro and small entrepreneurship, promoting the growth of about 30 sustainable, innovative and competitive businesses.
