Description

the project aims to address the problem of unemployment in Sohag Governorate by promoting the growth of the youth and women's entrepreneurial system and its strengthening in the green economy sector. Outcomes to be achieved include improving public system services for youth and women entrepreneurship (Outcome 1) and increasing the social, economic, and environmental impact of businesses in Sohag Governorate (Outcome 2). the Apulia Region will activate a capacity-building pathway for local government staff to develop a specific program with related services and digital tools that can foster entrepreneurship and particularly the emergence of businesses from the informal sector. Local business support organizations will be an active part of a virtuous training process led by CIHEAM Bari through which they will learn innovative skills and methodologies in order to deliver empowering pathways in the green economy sector for Egyptian companies, which in turn will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with the Italian for-profit system. In addition, the project chooses to act on the mitigation and adaptation of the consequences of climate change affecting Egypt by incentivizing businesses to adopt green practices and develop activities to create jobs and products and services in the green economy sector. read more close
