Description

Voluntary contribution to United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund that works in over 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfil their potential, from early childhood through adolescence, that are considered priority areas for Italian cooperation. The contribution is consistent with SDG 2 (End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture), SDG 3 (Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages), SDG 4 (Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all), SDG5 (Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls), SDG 8, particularly SDG 8.7 (Take immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour, including recruitment and use of child soldiers, and by 2025 end child labour in all its forms) and SDG 16, particularly SDG 16.2 (End abuse, exploitation, trafficking and all forms of violence against and torture of children). read more close
