Description

Voluntary contribution to UNDESA to be allocated, in agreement with the organisation, to the implementation of Italian training programs as well as any other capacity-building activities in line with the priorities of the Italian Cooperation. This aims to strengthen institutions in developing countries, promoting in this sector also the collaboration between national institutions, civil society, academia, the private sector and international organizations. The collaboration includes the consolidated Junior Professional Officers (JPO) and UN Fellowship programs dedicated to young Italian citizens (some positions are reserved for JPOs from developing countries, identified as priorities by the Italian Development Cooperation), who are offered the opportunity of a period of service or application in international. The objective for which UNDESA's work is most relevant is SDG 17 (strengthening the means of implementation and renewing the global partnership for sustainable development), with particular regard to targets 17.0, 17.16, 17.18 and 17.19. read more close
