Description

This project aims to improve labour market outcomes of the rural population in the country. The project is structured around three components. The first component includes an assessment of the current infrastructure,establishment of a pilot of 10 permanent and 3 mobile job centres in rural areas, and capacity building of PES staff. The second component includes designing of services delivered by the rural PES, consultations with stakeholders, and delivery of selected services. The last component encompasses the building of linkages between TVET and employers from Agro-Industrial Parks and Industrial Parks for delivery of an apprenticeship program and Occupational Health and Safety training and inspections. After the pilot phase and based on its evaluation, the job centres are planned to be scaled up. read more close
