Description
The Iraq Humanitarian Fund (IHF) is a multi-donor pooled fund led by the UN Humanitarian Coordinator (HC) and managed by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). The IHF facilitates timely resource mobilization for the most critical humanitarian needs as defined by the Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP), while retaining flexibility to allocate funds to unforeseen emergency needs and critical gaps as they emerge. For 2021 the objectives of the IHF are to: 1. Prioritize returnees (with a focus on those with critical shelter needs) and out-of-camp IDPs in underserved locations utilizing local NGO capacity to the furthest extent possible. 2. Fund underfunded global humanitarian priorities through thematic allocation strategies to promote: (i) support to women and girls (including GBV), (ii) programmes targeting disabled people and (iii) other aspects of protection.
