Description
The Initiative contribute to ensuring the right to healthy, quality food sourced from local fair and sustainable supply chains, promoting the employment of vulnerable women and young people, in the urban population of Niamey and the rural departments of Say and Tillabéri in Niger. Specifically, productivity, quality and nutritional value of milk and honey products have improved and adjusted to local consumption. Breeders and beekeepers' organizations will be structured and strengthened at the technical, organizational and monitoring levels of the sustainability of supply chains with a focus on the dignity of work, women's empowerment and the inclusion of young people. The project supports a distribution and trade system promoted by local institutions and structured for the procurement of healthy, fair and quality products between urban and rural areas
