Description

Contribution to the Bilateral Emergency Fund with International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) for the year 2025 to support emergency appeals and response funds launched by IFRC in response to climate related hazards. IFRC protect women and girls from GBV. The refinancing is necessary following the strong earthquakes of magnitude 7.4 that struck the coastal area of Colombia, with their epicenter in San José del Palmar. To respond to the emergency, which risks reverberating its effects on already fragile contexts, we want to proceed with a contribution to the IFRC through the funding of an EFB. During 2026, the Fund was already activated in the region following the earthquake in Venezuela. In addition, it was used to respond to the crisis in Sudan, Lebanon and Cuba to respond to the growing humanitarian needs caused by the emergency in the country for a total value of € 4,200,000. read more close
