Description
The Project, which aims to support the fight against corruption in Albania, has three main components: i) improve capacities of public administration in central and local level to prevent corruption; ii) raise awareness of the public and in particular of the youth; and iii) increase the commitment of business community in the anti-corruption efforts. The 12-month Project, launched in 2015, involves several government institutions such as the National Anticorruption Coordinator, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Education and Sports and the Ministry of Innovation and Public Administration. In addition, the Project will develop partnership with different civil society organizations and business associations.
The project is in a closing phase.
The project was able to:
I. Develop certified training curricula, with the assistance of the Italian National School of Public Administration, on anti-corruption and train the trainers on anti-corruption;
II. Develop an anti-corruption code of conduct for public administrations and entrepreneurial communities;
III. Develop a study on business climate in Albania;
IV. Strengthen the capabilities of civil society in monitoring the implementation of the National Anti-corruption Strategy.
