Description

The project’s overall objective foresees the social inclusion of people with disabilities in Tanzania, their inclusion in the workplace, improved access to health services, the strengthening of targeted nutrition programs and full participation, as citizens, in the lives of their communities, in line with the CBID approach (Community Based Inclusive Development). The direct beneficiaries of the initiative are 800 minors and young adults with disabilities, with a special focus on those with epilepsy and malnutrition problems, residing in the regions of Mbeya, Morogoro and Dar Es Salaam; 280 mothers of children with disabilities; 28 rehabilitation health workers; 340 doctors and health workers; 153 students with disabilities attending Yombo and VETA centers, 215 teachers and staff of the training centers who will be trained thus obtaining new important skills, 30 employers who will be sensitized on job inclusion and who will host in apprenticeship the students trained by the centers, 120 officials and representatives of governmental and non organizations in Tanzania. read more close
