Description

The initiative aims to improve the food and nutrition security levels of the population in the provinces of Sila and Moyen Chari through actions promoting food self-sufficiency and the livelihood of refugee and host communities. Particular attention will be paid to the inclusion of the groups with specific needs of the affected communities, such as women and young people, within the most profitable agro-food supply chains. To this end, the initiative will implement interventions aimed at improving agricultural productivity and diversification, supporting access to and optimising the sustainable management of natural resources, and promoting more profitable processing and marketing techniques, through a community-centred approach, to enable the populations of Chad's south-eastern provinces to better cope with contingent shocks with a view to resilience. The action will therefore be declined in order to favour the achievement of the following project objectives: OG: Strengthening food and nutrition security and economic selfsufficiency of refugees and host communities in Sila and Moyen Chary provinces SO: Improving the incomes and livelihoods, particularly those of women and youth, of the target population. read more close
