Description

The initiative aims to contribute to strengthening the capacities of public administrations in the target countries to pursue the objectives of sustainable development, with the specific goal of reinforcing governance and democratic institutions. This will be achieved through the organization and delivery of training courses targeted at both senior public officials and trainers from institutions equivalent to the National School of Administration (SNA). These training courses will be organized in two cycles for each target country, and each cycle will include two courses for each of the five thematic areas. Additionally, a Training of Trainers (ToT) program will be offered in three of the five areas, identified jointly with the SNA’s counterpart institutions. The pilot countries were selected taking into account those considered a priority by Italian Development Cooperation and the Mattei Plan, and are: Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Tunisia. They will participate in the initiative through their respective Schools or equivalent bodies of the National School of Administration (SNA), identified as the implementing entity of the initiative, with the aim of systematizing the institutional training activities to be carried out by the Italian body. The participation of additional African countries may be considered during the project’s implementation. read more close
