Description
The intervention aims to ensure the safe medical evacuation, specialized treatment, and psychosocial support of approximately 70 children from the Gaza Strip, together with their caregivers, within the framework of the Jordanian Medical Corridor initiative. Under the leadership of WHO and in coordination with the Jordanian Ministry of Health, the project guarantees access to advanced paediatric care and continuity of treatment in a context where Gaza’s health system has collapsed. The initiative also foresees the strengthening of Jordanian hospitals’ capacities through the technical contribution of the Bambino Gesù Paediatric Hospital, including clinical missions, training activities, telemedicine sessions, and the development of guidelines for paediatric trauma management, thereby ensuring integrated and sustainable support to the most vulnerable patients.
