Description

The initiative aims to strengthen the technical and operational capacities of the Government of Ukraine in the field of humanitarian mine action, in line with the National Mine Action Strategy of Ukraine 2024–2026. Through two complementary components, the intervention supports, on one hand, the institutionalization of Technical Survey Dog (TSD) capacity for land release operations, and on the other, the enhancement of maintenance and operational efficiency of mechanical demining assets. The Italian contribution, implemented by UNDP in collaboration with the Ukrainian national authorities through the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), seeks to ensure faster, safer, and more sustainable land release operations, while reinforcing national ownership and the long-term resilience, mine disaster risk management of Ukrainian institutions engaged in humanitarian demining. read more close
