Description
The project seeks to enhance the protection environment and uphold the dignity of forcibly displaced persons, individuals at risk of statelessness, and vulnerable host communities in the crisis-affected regions of Burkina Faso. To achieve this goal, the project will pursue three specific, interconnected objectives: 1.To ensure forcibly displaced and stateless persons in need of international protection have guaranteed access to territory and assistance through the establishment of robust protection monitoring and response systems. 2.To achieve comprehensive protection for at-risk groups, particularly women and children, by increasing the capacity of authorities, communities, and humanitarian partners to provide quality Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Child Protection services. 3.To ensure the effective application of the national child protection framework by strengthening community-based support programs and reinforcing national systems for children in high-risk situations. Specifically, it will: -Establish a robust, community-based protection monitoring system to identify critical risks, track incidents, and trigger timely and evidence-based responses for displaced persons and their hosts. -Reduce the risks of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and child protection violations by strengthening the capacity of local actors and providing comprehensive prevention and response services for survivors and at-risk individuals.-Deliver direct, life-saving assistance to the most vulnerable, including psychosocial support, case management, legal aid, and material assistance to survivors of violence and persons with specific needs. -Reinforce local protection systems by empowering community structures, particularly women-led associations, and strengthening the referral pathways between community, humanitarian, and state-level services to ensure sustainable impact.
