Description
The initiative (General Objective) intends to contribute to the affirmation of rights for the protection and protection of children, in line with the chosen thematic area of Intervention and theSustainable Development Goal 16 target 16.9.1. The legal identity will promote access to other fundamental rights, concurring to an efficient and inclusive governance public. The intervention complies with the 2030 Agenda, the Guidelines on Childhood and Adolescence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), and national guidelines on child protection. As a Specific Goal work will be done for the creation of an enabling legal and social and health environment for child protection which will be ensured through a holistic and multidimensional approach on three Outcomes: 1) referring to the OECD DAC code 15110 (Public sector policy and administrative management) : the consolidation of the national birth registration system through capacity building of civil status actors, wider provision of outreach civil status services in the target municipalities (new Secondary Centers will be opened in the selected Health Formations, taking advantage of the interoperability between civil status and health initiated in the country), the organization of free registration campaigns for school children, and a contribution to the digital transformation of the recently launched registration system (all new Registration Centers will be connected to the national database); 2) referring to code 12220 (Basic Health) : the strengthening of the existing health services in the intervention area, i.e., strengthening the integrated package of preventive health services targeting in particular women and children (maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, WASH), in coordination with the relevant health authorities and in compliance with the country's health protocols and strategic plans; planned awareness campaigns aimed at disseminating good hygiene, nutritional and health practices, fostering the spread of a culture of health and helping to generate increased demand for and use of existing health services. 3) Referred to the code 43072 (Household food security programs) : the strengthening of the resilience of the most vulnerable households in a gender dimension, i.e. with particular reference to the empowerment of vulnerable women and community groups. The initiative aims to promote sustainable socio-economic and productive opportunities for the most vulnerable through the implementation of the Interlife Toolkit model, with the goal of strengthening food security, stimulating local production and improving the well-being of the communities involved. The partnership is composed of the Community of St. Egidio-ACAP, AMREF Italy, AMREF Health Africa-Côte d'Ivoire, the association Les Flamboyants and the association Saint Camille de Lellis. The latter will allow special attention to be paid to the accessibility to disabled people of the services offered, in this case psychiatric patients and people with other disabilities.
