Description

Voluntary contribution to InCE to support the Falcone and Borsellino programme for multidimensional technical assistance in Justice and Security. The Falcone-Borsellino Program is an initiative aimed at strengthening international cooperation with Eastern Partnership countries in the fields of justice and security. The Program seeks to consolidate collaboration between the judiciary and law enforcement agencies in combating corruption and transnational organized crime, respecting the rule of law, major international legal frameworks (UNCAC, UNTOC,FATF), and the protection of fundamental freedoms. By leveraging Italy's experience in anti-mafia and anti-corruption efforts, it offers advanced training to judges and legal professionals, provides technical assistance for the adaptation of legal systems, and promotes the exchange of best practices. Following the results achieved in Latin America and the Caribbean, the program aims to extend this experience to non-EU countries of the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe through collaboration with the Central European Initiative. The initiative aligns with the UN 2030 Agenda, especially SDG 16, by promoting peaceful societies, access to justice, and transparent institutions. It strengthens judicial and institutional capacities, fosters transnational cooperation, and encourages a culture of integrity to combat corruption and organized crime, supporting sustainable development in the Western Balkans.
