Description

Voluntary contribution to IILA in support to the project "Support to the Municipality Reconstruction of Santa Tereza". The project aims at providingsupport for the reconstruction of the Municipality of Santa Tereza, to cope with the humanitarian emergency resulting from the devastating consequences of the floods. The project envisages contributing to the reconstruction phase and supporting recovery from both an infrastructural and socio-economic point of view. The intervention will be divided into three phases: a technical assistance mission aimed at assessing the damage that has occurred and evaluating specific interventions for the reconstruction process; a phase of supplying means and equipment - including the rental of a quarry truck for removing rubble and other residues; and a final phase of monitoring the activities carried out. The project is particularly aimed at providing technical assistance in response to emergencies, contributing to improve the response capacity of local institutions. This contribution is consistent with SDG 9 and SDG 11, target 11.5 (By 2030, significantly reduce the number of deaths and the number of people affected and substantially decrease the direct economic losses relative to global gross domestic product caused by disasters, including water- related disasters, with a focus on protecting the poor and people in vulnerable situations). read more close
