Description

The project aims at triggering sustainable socio-economic development in rural areas of the Republic of Armenia, tourism attractiveness and sector competence for the creation and development of an integrated tourism system benefiting rural communities living nearby culturalarchaeological sites and attractions will be implemented. Three relevant scenarios/case histories will be considered, aligning with mutual interests for both the beneficiary and the donor. They are: 1. Archaeological site of Garni, Kotayk Province. Reference community: Garni Municipality. 2. Archaeological site of Dvin, Ararat Province. Reference communities: Verin Artashat and Hnaberd Municipalities. 3. Archaeological site of Aruch, Aragatsotn Province. Reference communities: Aruch and Dprevank Municipalities. Activities will be developed in the following sectors: 1. Cultural heritage protection and accessibility, and cultural tourism facilities creation. 2. Capacity building – Development of Human Capital. 3.
