Description

The "D.E.P. Dialogue Education Peace" initiative aims at reducing the inequalities among different communities (namely refugee and host communities, and various ethnic and religious groups) in the DRC regions of North and South Kivu. This objective is achieved through two results (R1 and R2). R1 focuses on improving access to primary education in the area of Goma for the most vulnerable children of both the refugee and the hosting communities, by providing furniture and teaching materials for formal educational activities, extracurricular support, and social inclusion promotion with children at the "Floribert Bwana Chui" primary school in Goma (A1 and A2). Moreover, R1 also includes activities specifically targeting obstacles in access to education for street minors and marginalized children, through reception services for street girls in Goma (A1.3) as well as support actions for street children in Goma (A1.4). R2 deals with the promotion of interreligious dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and social inclusion in the areas of Goma, Bukavu, and Uvira.
