Description

Support to the Ministry of Health in strengthening programmes for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases and their consequences, with a cross-cutting focus on disability. The project is based on raising public awareness through inclusive community promotion campaigns; conducting screening programmes; promoting early identification and treatment of non-communicable diseases; strengthening rehabilitation services for chronically ill or patients with disabilities; strengthening epidemiological surveillance and supporting the health information system. At the same time, the programme will promote the removal of barriers that hinder the access of people with disabilities to health services. The project also includes activities aimed at reducing the gender gap, specifically reaching women with HIV and for the prevention of cervical cancer. read more close
