| vocab:Description | L'iniziativa, della durata di 8 mesi, contribuisce alla risposta al Piano di Emergenza lanciato da OMS a settembre 2021 e intende garantire la prosecuzione delle attività del sistema sanitario. Il progetto permetterà all'Organismo di assistere direttamente circa 100.000 pazienti su una popolazione di riferimento di oltre 3 milioni di persone. L’intervento risponde a due delle priorità espresse dal Piano di Emergenza predisposto dall’OMS a settembre 2021: garantire il funzionamento dei servizi di livello primario e secondario e il funzionamento delle strutture per la diagnosi e cura del COVID-19. L’OMS conduce attività di monitoraggio sui progetti e sullo stato di salute della popolazione, per assicurarsi che vengano raggiunti i beneficiari identificati tra le fasce più vulnerabili con particolare attenzione alle donne, ai minori ed anziani che sono quelli più duramente colpiti. Si sta selezionando un valutatore esterno (Third Party Monitoring) per la valutazione della correttezza ed efficacia dell’intervento. L'OMS, inoltre svolge un' indispensabile azione di coordinamento tra gli attori in campo sanitario, comprese le ONG presenti sul territorio e utilizzate come partner.. La proposta di finanziamento in parola fa parte dell’intervento italiano in risposta alla crisi afgana, annunciato alla Conferenza di Ginevra del 13-09-2021. |
| vocab:Description_en | This 8-month long project contributes answering to the WHO’s Emergency Plan for Afghanistan dated September 2021, supporting continuing operations by the national health system. This project will directly assist 100.000 patients within a referral population of more than 3 million people. This project is focused on two of the priorities set within the Emergency Plan: delivery of health services through operational health facilities at primary and hospital levels; support the response to COVID-19 for diagnosis and treatment. WHO will monitor both the projectand the health status of the population. Selection of a thirdparty-monitoring is underway and shall be soon finalizedto assess correctness and effectiveness of interventions. WHO is the lead agency for coordination of all actors within the health sector, including NGOs working in the field as projects implementing partners. WHO is also directly purchasing medical materials and drugs as well as coordinating donors in-kind contributions and distributing medical supplies. This project is part of the overall Italian plan in response to the Afghan crisis, as announced at the Geneva ministerial conference of 13th September 2021. |
