The intervention has the following objectives: 1. To provide urgent humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Afghanistan, including those returning to their places of origin. 2. Provide urgent humanitarian assistance to Afghan refugees in Iran and Pakistan. Beneficiaries of the intervention will be: in Afghanistan: 250,000 returnees IDP and at least 500,000 IDP. In Iran: at least 800,000 Afghans will be assisted. In Pakistan: at least 1,400,000 Afghans will be assisted. UNHCR will mainstream an Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) approach throughout its activities. |
