L’iniziativa prevede la costruzione del primo centro di compostaggio decentrato dell’area metropolitana di Maputo, che si costituirà come impianto modello per lo sviluppo di future installazioni, e grazie al quale lo smaltimento finale in discarica dei rifiuti biodegradabili prodotti sarà ridotto, con conseguenti benefici anche in termini di riduzione dei gas serra prodotti |

In particular, the project contributes to improve the efficiency of the cycle of Solid Waste Management through the recovery of the organic waste fraction and its reuse, after treatment, finding application in urban agriculture initiatives. The action foresees the construction of the first decentralized composting center in the Maputo metropolitan area, which will be constituted as a model plant for the development of future installations, and thanks to which the final disposal in landfills of the biodegradable waste fraction will be reduced, with consequent benefits also in terms of reduced production of greenhouse gases. |
