The project aims to rehabilitate and improve the urban historical heritage through the construction of a network of minor historical centres, with the objective of reaching territorial rebalancing, with respect to the most densely populated and worn out areas, promoting and developing awareness and the sense of belonging to the urban historical heritage among local communities. The rebalancing potential offered by the network of small heritage cities and, in particular, their heritage centres, are articulated in cultural, demographic, socio-economic and environmental profiles.
