| vocab:Description | L'iniziativa oggetto della presente Proposta di finanziamento ha l'obiettivo specifico di contribuire a rafforzare l'accesso dei rifugiati siriani in Libano ai servizi di assistenza sanitaria secondaria e terziaria. L'accesso all'assistenza sanitaria di base e alle cure secondarie e terziarie è uno dei bisogni fondamentali dei rifugiati siriani presenti in Libano. Rispetto ad altri gruppi, i rifugiati necessitano spesso di un'assistenza sanitaria specifica, poiché il loro benessere fisico ed emotivo è influenzato negativamente da spostamenti frequenti e condizioni di vita sfavorevoli. Sebbene in Libano sia disponibile un'ampia rete di fornitori di servizi sanitari, e il governo abbia permesso ai rifugiati di accedere al sistema sanitario nazionale, la vulnerabilità economica costituisce un importante ostacolo per i rifugiati, in particolare quando si rende necessario un ricovero ospedaliero. I servizi di assistenza sanitaria in Libano sono in gran parte privatizzati e i costi sono a carico degli utenti. Nell'ambito del Lebanon Crisis Response Plan, UNHCR è la principale agenzia umanitaria a sostenere i costi dell'assistenza sanitaria secondaria e terziaria per i rifugiati in Libano. L'iniziativa facilita l'accesso dei rifugiati siriani ai servizi erogati da 40 ospedali pubblici e privati con i quali UNHCR ha creato accordi di partenariato. Il programma prevede il pagamento totale o parziale delle cure secondarie e terziarie, compresi gli interventi di urgenza, l'assistenza intensiva neonatale, la terapia intensiva pediatrica, e le cure fornite in conseguenza di violenza sessuale e di genere, della tortura, di gravi ustioni e della malnutrizione. Il contributo finanziario richiesto permette la copertura parziale o totale di circa 4.570 interventi di assistenza sanitaria secondaria (UNHCR ha stimato a 570 USD il costo medio di ciascun intervento). | vocab:Description_en | The Project has the specific objective of contributing to strengthen the access of Syrian refugees in Lebanon to secondary and tertiary health care services. Access to basic health care and secondary and tertiary care is one of the basic needs of Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Compared to other groups, refugees often require specific health care, as their physical and emotional well-being is affected by frequent displacement and difficult living conditions. Although a wide network of health service providers is available in Lebanon, and the government has allowed refugees to access the national health system, economic vulnerability is an important barrier for refugees, in particular for hospitalization. Healthcare services in Lebanon are largely privatized and the costs are not accessible to the majority of Syrian refugees. As part of the Lebanon Crisis Response Plan, UNHCR is the main humanitarian agency to support the costs of secondary and tertiary health care for refugees in Lebanon. The project helps Syrian refugees to access the services provided by 40 public and private hospitals within a network created by UNHCR. The project foresees the total or partial payment of the hospital fees related to secondary and tertiary care, including emergency interventions, intensive neonatal care, pediatric intensive care, and treatment provided as a result of sexual and gender-based violence, torture, severe burns and malnutrition. The requested financial contribution allows the partial or total coverage of 4,570 secondary health care interventions (UNHCR has estimated at 570 USD the average cost of each intervention). The project contributes to the achievement of strategic objectives n. 2 and n. 3 of the Lebanon Crisis Response Plan 2017-2020, respectively: Provide immediate assistance to vulnerable populations and Support service provision through national systems. |
