Description

In Albania, the area of implementation of the Initiative, despite the progress of the medicine sector in the recent years, the issue of health prevention is still too underestimated. The Initiative, with a 36 months duration, aims to contrast this social lack in the Albanian health system, trying to support it with tools that, during next years, could help it to become more efficient and closer to European standards. The target groups of the Initiative will be the Countrys blood donors, young people under 35 years old and, potentially, the entire Albanian population. The activities will aim to increase the number of blood donors who usually donate voluntarily and for free, to stabilize the donors base and to support the Albanian Government in the definition of a national donation program. COL’OR NGO will collaborate with some of its historical partners deeply rooted in the Albanian territory, such as the local counterpart DhVGj, the Albanian National Association of Blood Donors, and the QKTG, the National Transfusion Centre, in order to guarantee a usable population base on which carry out personalized health prevention activities. The increasing of blood donors in a Country, especially the ones who donate voluntary and for free, will represent an important step towards the purpose of improving a good health prevention system: not only thanks to the free blood tests that donors will receive - which within the Initiative will be carried out by the local partner MAGI Balkans - but also thanks to an ad hoc questionnaire, that will be submitted to the donors, and also thanks to further analysis on the blood collected. The analysis of the data collected through the questionnaire will be carried out by the partner IRCCS San Raffaele di Roma that will be responsible of telemedicine consultations and personalized preventive medicine actions. Furthermore, thanks to the contribution of the partner Neosperience SpA, it will be possible to create a software platform in order to collect and store all the data in full respect of privacy rules. The partner will also develop a digital App (with Artificial Intelligence), for blood donors and for all the Albanian population involved into the activities. Finally, thanks to the contribution of the partner IPSIA ONG, education activities in health prevention will be carried out, focusing especially on young people. These actions will cover the entire Albanian territory, involving schools, parishes and local institutions. read more close
