Description

The programme aims to support the vulnerable population and national institutions to cope with the humanitarian, social and economic consequences of the explosions that occurred in Beirut on 4 August 2020. The planned activities foster the self-reliance of the population affected by the consequences of the explosions and strengthen the capacities of the national systems responsible for providing basic services. The programme contributes to respond to some immediate humanitarian needs and to launch the recovery and reconstruction phase through a multi-sectoral approach. The programme will be implemented in partnership with CSOs selected through a Call for proposals. The programme will be implemented in the areas affected by the explosion, in particular the municipalities of Beirut, Bourj Hammoud and Jdaidet-El Matn-Baouchriyeh. read more close
