Il progetto è finalizzato alla trasformazione del mango direttamente sul posto della raccolta nelle aree rurali del Senegal (Ziguinchor, Kaolack, Bandia). Gli agricoltori di tali comunità potranno accedere ai servizi di un’unità mobile di trasformazione montata in un container da 20 piedi ed alimentata grazie ad un sistema di energia fotovoltaica ad impatto “zero”. L’utilizzo della struttura mobile sul territorio permetterà di seguire la stagionalità del mango che, a partire da metà aprile, matura nella zona più a sud del Paese e con il passare dei mesi nelle zone più settentrionali. Sono previsti corsi formativi per accompagnare giovani e donne ad apprendere i principi dell’economia circolare e del Fair Trade e per favorire la commercializzazione dei prodotti nel circuito del biologico. |
