A causa dell'aumentata vulnerabilità economica, nel 2019 è aumentato il numero di famiglie di rifugiati che non possono più permettersi di pagare un affitto e che si sono trasferiti in insediamenti informali, dove è aumentata la domanda di servizi essenziali, come la disponibilità di acqua potabile e di servizi sanitari. Nell'ambito del Lebanon Crisis Response Plan, i servizi essenziali all'interno degli insediamenti informali sono forniti dalle agenzie umanitarie. UNICEF è l'agenzia leader per gli interventi nel settore Acqua, cui si riferiscono le attività previste nell'ambito della presente iniziativa. L'intervento opererà all'interno degli insediamenti informali mediante la fornitura di acqua potabile (water trucking), la pulizia e il trattamento delle latrine, e la realizzazione di campagne di sensibilizzazione e educazione all'igiene. L'iniziativa permette l'accesso ad un'adeguata quantità di acqua potabile e a servizi igienici adeguati a 20.000 rifugiati che vivono in insediamenti informali (48 uomini, 52 donne; 58 minori; 1 persone con disabilità). L'iniziativa sarà realizzata da UNICEF in gestione diretta con il concorso di ONG selezionate sulla base della valutazione dei risultati raggiunti in esperienze simili. L'iniziativa contribuisce al raggiungimento dell'obiettivo strategico n. 2 del LCRP 2017-2020, ovvero: Fornire assistenza immediata alle popolazioni vulnerabili. |

In accordance with the LCRP, the Programme provides immediate assistance to vulnerable refugees living in Informal Settlements through water trucking, desludging services and community mobilization for improved WASH behavior.The Programme improve access to an adequate amount of drinking water and adequate sanitation facilities to 20,000 refugees living in informal settlements (48 men, 52 women, 58 children, 1 people with disabilities).The Programme is implemented by UNICEF in partnership with NGOs.The Programme contributes to the achievement of the strategic objective n. 2 of the LCRP 2017-2020: Provide immediate assistance to vulnerable populations |
