vocab:Description_en | The proposal is part of the second phase of the PADIT Programme, Multidimensional Platform for Territorial Integrated Development, started in 2014 and financed by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with a multilateral contribution of 600.000 euros, with the aim of capitalize and expand the achievements of the first PADIT Programme’s phase. The principal aim of the proposal is to reduce territorial inequalities and contribute to population wellness with a focus on young and women livelihood, implementing development-oriented policies able to increase local productive resources and activities, promoting economic business and innovation and supporting the access to social services. The new proposal will work in 10 different Cuban’s regions (2 Regions more to those included in the first phase) with the purpose to empower and promote social, economic and political inclusion. The intervention will provide the missing link between politics-driven decentralisation and local development, strengthening the role that the territory and stakeholders plays as active part of development policies. The main objectives of the PADIT are: -Empowered local authorities to promote a multi-leveland multi-actor territorial development with dedicated training activities and courses and improving participative process, financial tools, territorial data and communication management. -Increased women and young people participation to social and productive activities and implemented their access to 6 social and urban services. -Implemented public policies on decentralization and territorial development with a special focus on tools oriented to an integrated management. |
